Meeting Notes 3/23/12

Steam Room - The steam room is moving along on schedule, today all of the rough plumbing for the steam unit and the shower valves were installed and pressure tested. The new shower pan is in and the radiant heat lines were tested and show no indications of any leaks or weak spots. We were very carefully with all of the work so far not to disturb them. Monday the electrician will finish adding the lights and 2nd fan to the room and the venting will all be reconnected. We are expecting the tile on Monday or Tuesday and are planning to install durock on Wednesday with tiling on Thursday and Friday. The glass will be measured as soon as the tile is finished and will be about 2-3 weeks for fabrication and installation.
Master Bath - The plumber took care of the master bath sinks and gave the master toilet a look over, he didn't find anything abnormal.  Even though the weather has been unusually warm we are still waiting until mid April to turn on the outside water.
Pool - We would like to get a pool opening date from you so we can get on the schedule for the spring. The cover technicians are available in April and we are on the list for the 3rd week of April, exact date will come in early April. We noticed that some of the pool lounge chairs have broken axels or close to broken axels, we will repair these before the pool is opened.

8 clocks on property looked at, 3rd floor office clock taken to be serviced. Barn clock fine, has key. Guest room clock needed adjustment, has key. Station clock has key now, pendulum installed, glass to be addressed when office clock brought back 3-4 weeks. Grandfather clock moved and checked out, has key. Small wall clock now in fireplace room fine, has key. Kitchen clock works fine, has key. Small glass clock in formal living room - technician noticed pendulum installed backwards, corrected and discovered the silver tubes that were used to replace mercury are improperly weighted. Is this something to be fixed as well?

Front Porch

Paul has finished. He isn't totally thrilled with it and wants to see what we think. The uncovered part is much more weathered than the covered part and you can see differences in some of the boards. He double coated the uncovered to get the color to match more but the wood is showing it's age. He stripped everything down to bare wood to start and thougt that would do it. Only thing he can think to do is sand down the uncovered part.

Laundry room glass

The glass for the laundry room with clear lettering and etched background (to achieve frosted look) will be 375$ per piece. Recommend ordering "JEN'S OFFICE" and waiting to order "LAUNDRY" until it is needed to avoid storing the glass. Delivery time is 2 weeks. Let us know if this good to go. Will order tomorrow if it's good.

New Task List

We have created a new task list that incorporates some of the things we discussed on Tuesday. It should be more informative for everyone than the previous lists. There is a Task List link on the right side of the blog over the "Labels" field. It will be permanently linked there for all future access.
Here is the link, you can book mark the page for quicker access if you wish.
